My Internship
Kailey Mclarty began her internship with BDG in June 2024, as she was preparing to enter her senior year of college. Eager to gain practical experience and insight into a formal business environment, Kailey embarked on her internship with a focus on applying her academic knowledge to real-world scenarios.
Initially, Kailey assisted her fellow intern Ben with data analysis and capturing Google images of various sites. Reflecting on her experience, Kailey emphasized the importance of proficiency in Excel, noting that her initial skills in this area were not as strong as she had anticipated. However, she expressed gratitude for Clare's guidance, which enabled her to quickly improve her Excel capabilities.

Despite her academic background in Film and limited knowledge of franchising, Kailey leveraged her unique skill set to make meaningful contributions to BDG. She played a crucial role in enhancing the company's online presence by revamping the BDG website to improve client accessibility and functionality. Additionally, Kailey produced a promotional video showcasing the office environment, further highlighting her versatility and creative talents.

Kailey noted that her first day was marked by initial anxiety, but she quickly felt at ease thanks to the warm and welcoming nature of her colleagues. As her internship progressed, she developed strong relationships with her coworkers and appreciated the supportive work environment.
